Thanks all for the kind comments!!
Let's hope this kind of coverage encourages additional interest in Studebakers and Studebaker performance cars among younger people. I was glad they listed R1/R2/and R3s, sometimes R1s are ignored when people talk about Studebaker performance cars. One reason we put on our May drag race every year is to promote Studebaker automobiles, so that seems to be working!
I know we have new members sign up to the SDC after coming to our race.
Here is a video the track photographer made after this years May Drag race.
RichardThe annual all Studebaker Nationals and Orphan Car Drag Race is Saturday May 27th 2017 9:00 am at Brown County Dragway in Bean Blossom, Indiana. "Studebaker Drag Racing you can't beat it" For more information contact Richard Poe

Congratulations Richard for getting the recognition you and your car deserve. It would be great if a lot of Studebaker folks let the BangShift folks how much we appreciate their attention to Richard and his car.Joe Roberts

I love it ! Also found ted's R3 and watched it ! Most impressive ! I had a 69 383 Dart with 4speed. Had a Hurst super shifter with the plastic white Hurst t handle. (black car, black interior ) . I broke a 1/2 dozen of those t handles (warrantied ). I guess that is why they weren't on the market very long.Randy Wilkin
