Looking for 51 Commander parts

Was out evaluating my 51 Studebaker Commander 4dr today and started to think... Do they make aftermarket body panels for this car? or am I SOL... and have to repair what I have.... There is some pretty extensive rust to the LR panel and on the RR panel it is rotting out and was hit.

You can use 50-52 four door and Land Cruiser rear fenders, and Studebaker made a lot of them. If you just need repair panels, you can use 47-49 fenders as organ donors as well.

Classic Enterprises does not yet list the repair panels for the front edge of your rear fenders.

Rest assured, unless you procure donor fenders, those edges are not all that hard to re-fabricate. Patience and perseverance.

These fenders unbolt! I would recommend replacing the complete fender as that is a hard area to fix. I have NOS and pristine used ones..... Shipping is no problem, just expensive. I will warn you though- if that panel is that rusty, You need to remove it and check the pillar /structure behind it as well as the floors etc as that car may have way more rust hiding.

If they still have the meet for the Michiana chapter I have plans of attending come next may. Hoping to find some before then and maybe pick them up there... Not sure who all goes to it or if anyone would want to haul them that far if we came to an agreement on purchasing. Otherwise I will suck it up and have them shipped.

And I'm sure there is a lot more rust. It will be a frame off restoration. Just trying to gather parts as I go or find deals.
