So, what is the difference between the 49 and the 52, other than the colors and decoration?

M2 has been selling the 1949-50-51-52-53 trucks using the same mold. I don't know how a person can tell the difference between those years. Maybe someone can start another thread on that subject. I think one way was how the bumpers were painted.
I have not studied the M2 trucks to tell if they are trying to make each issue look like a particuliar model year or not.
To me they are just fun to collect.

I bought the grey truck at the Greenfield Village gift shop Friday in Dearborn, MI. It will be added to our Christmas train setup under the tree this year.

Does the '49 have a six in it and the 52 have a V8 or are both engines the same?

1/64 scale. same as Hotwheels. Steve
