Ouch. Sadly, it's a $3-500 car.Proud NON-CASO

Sorry John, I'd have to ditto on the 3-500 on that one. And probably no more than 3. I just picked up a complete and very nice 69 Grand Prix for less than $2000. I think a timing chain and a tune up will have the car on the road.
BTW John, my son told me about his meet n greet with you. Yeah, this is another one of those sweeeet deals, huh??? I can't wait to get into the engine on this one. A smokey burnout is hiding in there somewhere, I think.
Oh, I just noticed that's my son's 95 Caprice parked at the curb in the background. About 450 HP in the LT1 in that car. Oh, man, you guys should hear it. WOW. He's done his dad proud.Last edited by sals54; 07-30-2013, 11:22 PM.sals54

There can't be too many of those '69's around, I don't even remember any of them here in the West, it must be a Monte Carlo Body and Frame.
Too bad your Son wasted a good Engine on a Caprice though!.............
John, that appears to be a 1960 Lark VI with a '60 Lark VIII Front Clip. Check out the curved rear quarter Mouldings. Both the Light Oasis Green and the Darker Williansbuerg Green were '60 Colors also.Last edited by StudeRich; 07-31-2013, 09:58 AM.StudeRich

I love those '69 & '70 Grand Prix's. A '69 with a 4-speed and a 428 would definitely be the ticket.
As for that '59, what do the floors look like? The rocker panels? These are the money shots...Tom - Bradenton, FL

For anybody who might be considering the Lark, there are two things that tell me it is a '60 (not a '59). Firstly, the '59 two-door was not available with a V-8. Secondly, the quarter panel trim on the '59 is two pieces (with a sharp point at the bottom of the dip where the two pieces join) while the '60 trim is one piece with a smooth curve at the bottom of the dip. Not sure this is important, but titling may be an issue if it is wrong. By the way, is there a title? If so, does the VIN match the numbers on the cowl plate and door striker plate? They should all begin with "60". I thought about deleting this entry after I saw that they'd fixed the year error, but then I thought I'd leave it for those of you who aren't familiar with those differences. I didn't mention the grille mesh being different because the front clip was obviously replaced, and the grille and blinker housings are commonly "wrong" on these cars after replacement by previous owners.~Matt Connor
