I spotted and downloaded an ad today that pictured my dream car. Specifically a '59 Lark Regal sedan in Alaskan Blue. It started me thinking. Many of us have customized a given car to make ir special to us. But what if you could go back snd order s car that was just what you wanted grom the factory? I wonder what interesting cars might have been ordered. Any else have a drw Studebaker ?

I think a lot of us would order a Car like Nelson Bove's '64 Commander R3 4 Speed, 2 Door Sedan.

I would not order it much different except to add a Push Button AM/FM Radio, Rear Speaker, Front Bumper Guards and 4 Headlights.

Ditto. Except I might take off the bumper guards when I got it home. Plus a matching R4.

During the hottest days of summer, I find myself wishing that the original owner of my car would have shelled out the extra for air conditioning. It was just over 90 degrees here yesterday, and I found myself in the Lark for about 2 and a half hours, heading to (and then back from) our chapter meeting. Let me tell you, wind in your face at 60 miles an hour works okay, but nothing beats freon (or whatever they fill them with today)!

I would love to have been able to order a 1957 Golden Hawk with the Bonneville racing pan bottom and super charger. My problem is I would not have known whether to drive it or put it in mothballs for a 21st century debut.
