  • Bang... !!!

Finally had a couple of hours to work on the Speedster yesterday. 20 minutes into needle scaling the pressure regulator on my 60 gallon compressor tank blew off with enough noise to wake the neighbors dog. Sure as H#### woke me up!

Today's project fix the compressor.... then more needle scaling.

Glad neither you nor the dog were injured.

Air compressors can be weapons of mass destruction. All home compressors should be drained after every use and pressure tested every few years. I know I don't do the safety and maintenance as often as I should and most of you probably don't/haven't either.

Thanks for the reminder Jack. It does need to be drained and I'll go do it now.

Had several small ones along the way that wouldn't quite turn a wrench when you needed it so I went to this 220 volt 60 gallon unit so when it blew the regulator no real damage just a couple of rattled nerves.

Back together and back to needle scaling.
