I'm not wild about the color, but it looks like a nice car. My dad had a 52 Land Cruiser for a while and it drove really nice. If that one has overdrive, I would consider it.

I would bet that 99% of 52 Land Cruisers had automatic transmissions. Everyone was on an automatic transmission craze/fervor in those daze.

When my dad had his, I was always concerned about the transmission. It was only later, after I had let him sell it, that I found out they weren't like the GM Powerglides of that era.

Price to be determined. I have recent pics, just need time to put things together.

                  More pics, information:

I apologize for the random order of pics... Photo Bucket does not keep pics in order.

                  My impression of the car:

Very nice example. Body is straight, no rust visible in body panels. Last painted 10-12 years ago. Car was covered with heavy dust when pics were taken. A good buffing and polishing will bring the paint luster back as seen in the first post (or, better).

The driver's side floor board is rusted through, and has a patch panel screwed over the rusted area. I do not know how big the "hole" is. Seller says the spare tire recess also has some rust-through.

Interior is nice, but shows wear.

Small things like the Commander script on the hood, clear plastic "bullet" lenses on the front fenders, and the plastic handle on the gear shift lever have gone missing, or have broken.

Seller states the car runs and drives well. He does report some "slack" in the steering, but states it's not bad, or dangerous. As can be seen/heard in the video, the car starts right up and runs smoothly.

He is asking $4,000.00 for the car. If you are seriously interested, I will give you the seller's contact information. He is honest, and will tell you the truth about the car, as he knows it. He is not a Studebaker guy, but can probably pass questions he can't answer along to his father.
