Despite chilly temps, wind and rain on Saturday afternoon, we had a good time. I think our chapter will gain two new members because of our appearance at this year's Back To The Beach car show. Both are building Studebakers and did not know we existed, despite both being members of the SDC.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Great job showing off your cars at a multi make show. Got awards and a bonus of new members!

Ironically, I believe that's the first Gran Turismo Hawk I've ever seen with the mid-50s "wire" wheels.

Lookin' good, y'all; nice show. BP

Good show, indeed! I find myself lusting after that Larkamino, the business coupe, and... and... well, so many.

                Thanks for sharing!

i couldn't agree more about getting them out to multi make shows! Joe's post above proves that, joining the ENCSDC and they were already Studebaker owners.

now, think if folks visiting these shows are just getting into classic cars and maybe looking for something different than another tri-five, chevelle or camaro, etc. or looking for their next classic - got someone that would actually talk to them - and give printed information about our cars, SDC local and national clubs - to look at their leisure. i think we may get a few new members.

has something like this been done before? i'm sure it has. as it has been said before, "we can preach to the choir" but we need a bigger choir!

                    BP,
The Gt Hawk belongs to Ted Banner. Ted used to be a prominent Stude vendor in this area but his health is failing and he doesn't get out too much. One of his friends brought the GT to the show. From what I have heard, Ted could make the early wire hubcaps look like new and they don't look bad on the Hawk!!
