  • Going price....

Now that my car is fully running and driving again...I thought to myself a question that might come up one day (not soon I hope)..what could I sell my car for? Considering the fact my car is not really optioned, nor a high trim level...I'd not expect much...but with only a few thousand (if that...) of my Champion Custom left...and the fact many parts are the original pieces from when it left the factory...I'm not so sure. What do you guys think it's worth?

Those 1953-54 sedans are so underrated. And the custom trim level is the cleanest and probably the rarest of the bunch. Good to see one being cared for.

Not a much as it should be, but they are nice cars and as we get older the 4 doors sure are nice if you need to get into the back seat, also 6 cyl. are a draw back but then again with the cost of gas it shouldn't be but still is, you figure it, just enjoy it as long as you want and when ready to sell don't get up set if it does not pull big bucks. in the collector system it is going to be your enjoyment of the car as you equity, very few will see their money back in cash, enjoy...Bob

I agree with Bob. Also, there are many collectors who won't even fool with four door or pillared cars; just hard tops. An exception would be 1953-61 'C' bodied Studes. Drive the heck out of it and enjoy.
Don't let anyone talk you into installing high dollar components either, i.e. "correct" interior, unless you just want it to be correct. What I am saying is, don't look at purchases like that as an investment that will pay dividends later on that car.

Beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder. Worth...How can you put a value on a labor of love? Great looking Studebaker!!!!

Thank you, they only built around 5,000 custom level sedans...over 60 years....it's a question on how many are surviving...

Hi Kelli; Very nice looking Car, you really do NOT see many '53 Champion Custom 4 Doors anymore, way rarer than a high dollar Coupe or Hardtop, C or K Body; but just lacks the Desirability factor, I would just DRIVE it and enjoy it.

I remember giving you a few tips on finding a Side View Mirror or mirror head, any luck with that?
