That was WAY B*tchin. Fantastic car, great sound, R4 Race car, that wicked RHD T-10 shifter, the big pipes, the paint scheme, the original look. WOW. So cool.

Yes it is all of that. I seen this car in person 2 years ago at the Studebaker National meet in Western Australia and will see it again in Pokolbin in about 8 weeks time, at the next National. Should be a great meet!

Hi,I am the previous owner of this R 4 Commander.I currently own the 1963 Avanti R4 (B79 R 4) serial no 63R-2328, which has been on this forum previously(Oct 2008). The Avanti is for sale and details and photos can be found on the web site carsales.com.au The engine was supplied as a complete engine assembly by Paxton Products to the original owner in 1967. A photo of both the Commander and the Avanti engine bays can be seen on Bob Johnstone's Studebaker and Avanti page "Technical and Trouble Shooting" R3/R4's . Genuine buyers may contact me through the Carsales site

Great film Dave, lovely car. I wonder whether any old Bathurst footage of the appropriate years is available as it could have the missing images of the rear of the car.

Hope all goes well in Pokolbin.

There is some Bathurst footage of this car but mostly of the earlier 1964-65 races. Great to watch though!
