The '58 wagon I posted is for sale. But, you'll need a solid car to put all the Packard bits on in order to restore it.

I'd almost forgotten about it, but here's the Packard Hawk that I owned about a year ago. I saved and sold what was good, the rest went to China.

The serial tag was missing. Dick Quinn was able to cross over the body tag, and told me that, "For what it is worth the serial on this car was 58-LS 1104, it was assembled in Nov. 1957 with engine #LS5326 and was one of only two Packard Hawks finished in Jewel Beige and Shadowtone Red Metallic."

i've got my hands full and a empty wallet with the '51 and my "fake" '89 Avanti (Reatta). but a '58 Packard Wagon is on my "wish list" of future possibilities... it replaces "Tom's Car" and "Christine" on the list as a coveted vehicle.

Well if you decide you need a major project and something to dump buckets of money into.. I'll get you in touch with the owner. <grin>

I came pretty close to buying it myself, but the reality factor set it before I handed over the cash.

yeah, the buckets of $$$ is not going to happen!

i still "covet" Christine, but i don't think James is going to give it up in my lifetime!

A fellow down South bought it. He needed it as a donor for his restoration. At the time, I was really into trucks only.

It was mine. I sold it to John Wherry who passed away earlier this month. Sad to hear that, he was a nice fellow. At Reedsville in November it was posted for sale. He was from Western PA. It's a 1956.

This one usually shows up at the South Bend meets.

                    At Cedar Rapids

                    This sign was there too.

                    At Moline zone meet

And this one is left in the Karkiewicz collection

Here's a '57 Clipper that was part of a local collection (dispersed last summer when the owner moved). No idea where it is now. He had owned a couple other Packards too, a '53 and a '56, plus several more Studes.

Stand by for a couple '58s.

'58 Packard hardtop at 2008 Crossroads Zone Meet, St.Catharines, Ontario...

Same car, in Burlington for an SDCer's funeral the same summer.

Packard Hawk at 2010 Crossroads ZM, Chillicothe, Ohio.

Stay tuned for a couple more...

Here's the once-local '57 again, with the hood down this time; this was just before it was moved wherever...the owner had in fact already gone and I ended up conversing instead with the new homeowner, who wasn't so much a car guy and was looking forward to having a cleared-out side yard!

                          The '57 and the '53.

Packard Hawk at Thornhill Cruisers' Studebaker feature night, 2011. Forum member's car.

                          One more to come...

Custom Packard Hawk convertible, part of the Citizens Motor Car Co. Packard museum collection in Dayton, Ohio. Apparently built up at the behest of an S-P exec, but not truly a factory prototype. Pretty neat car, anyway.

Very nice Black Hardtop. It would be a very strong possibility that this one was Mrs. Afton's personal 1958 "Executive Car" Driver if so, I remember it from 1958. Did the build slip show Inglewood, CA or Frank H. Afton Co. as delivered to?

My second clue were the "G" Series '63 Yellow on Black plates that were South Bay area letters.

I am pretty sure this is the one that is shown about every year at the La Palma Meet in Anaheim right?
