    No one seems to notice the blatant error in the caption to the '37 Dictator photo. Raymond Loewy and Associates had nothing to do with the '37 styling. Their first contribution was to the '38 model year cars. They made the same mistake a few issues back when referring to the '37 Coupe Express. Another point, with respect to the choice of the 1937 Dictator coupe I would point out that this was the second year of this unique three window coupe body design with the heart shaped back glass. It was introduced in the 1936 model year and available on either the Dictator Six or larger President Eight chassis. Many collectors have a preference for the ’36 since they had the unique feature of hinged windshield as well as a hinged (at top) back glass. The ‘37s were stationery. Choosing the '37 over the '36 would be like choosing the '54 Studebaker Starliner over the '53? Why?
