  • It runs...thanks

    Carberator rebuild completed!
I just put the key in and turned it, roooom; it started on the first three seconds of the starter purring. I do have an electric pump so the fuel was up into the carb. Thanks to all who helped![^][^]. This car always has run fine ,it just would not start cold. I even have the deep sucking sound now when I put the metal to the pedal. I think the back two barells have been silent since I have owned the car. My I love the deep, deep, suckig sound when the car accelerates, reminds me of our 1954 Buick from childhood.

Hot Dog! Cool to hear that that pretty President's back on the road.

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

I will tune the engine in a couple of weeks, my schedule is busy ,again, with non-Studebaker fun. I had several problems, floats were way, way out of adjustment, accelerator pump was non functional, and the intake/carb gasket was leaking. I don't see why the car was runing as nice as it did with the floats so poorly adjusted. The secondary float was so far off I suspect those two barells were semifunctional at best. They function now,ROOOOM![8D][:I]
