    Got the build sheet

Okay everybody, the build sheet arrival I was on vacation in Colorado.

Apparently the original color was white (Tiara Arctic) I don't know what the T 5775 A GOV 25 refers to. And where it says ship to it says stock.

It is the original engine, however somebody is put in a T 10 with the hurst shift. And somewhere along the line installed front bucket seats from a later model Hawk. And reupholstered everything inside including painting the dashboard, and steering stem. It's such a good job, it's hard to tell it was any other color, I certainly can't.

The options listed are radio, push button, windshield washer, antenna, internal control, clock, climatizer, and back up lights.

This doesn't sound like the option list for a 400 E. But I do understand there someone here on the forum that keeps a secret list of the 400 serial numbers.

Can someone contact him and ask if this is one of them. The original white color, from what I understand, is somewhat unusual.

Thanks for all the help and opinions. After spending some time on the forum reading tons of info, I'm getting a real education.

It was originally two-tone, Tiara Gold/Arctic White with a Gold Vinyl interior

Oh! Well talk about over abreviation!

Than some where along its history it has had a off frame restoration. No where on this car can I see any sign of the original color. all the over spray, in the fenders, under the body, all over the firewall, behind the front grill, inside the hood or rear deck lid, can I see anything but white.

        Darn good job!

Sombody really wanted this to look like a 400.

Still the way it was done, the car really is a stunner. I'm really happy with it.

I guess it could be classed as a "resto-mod"

I am pleased that you got such a great looking car as an initiation into the Studebaker fold. On my 63 hawk it came with the factory 4 speed shifter which wouldnt be good for mixing pancakes in my opinion & I too replaced it with a Hurst, no comparison to the improvement. Come on down to Southern California next memorial day weekend & show that stunner of a car to all in attendance at the La Palma meet! Yours will be one of the very finest there for sure!

                Thanks, Warren.

Memorial weekend? That should be do-able. Looks like the car is going to gat a few miles on it in the next few years!
