My 1976 Turning wheels were destroyed.....I won't describe how or by whom, I do know her name......I need to know if someone can scan the car for sale ads for me. I need to know if any 1963 R2 larks, where advertised for sale, I cannot give up yet! I was lead to believe it was from Colorado, but am interested in knowing of any advertised. I have gone back to 1974, and do Know that John Erb rebuilt the supercharger in about sept, 1977. Almost a matter of life and death.....thanks

Looking for the person who was selling the 1963 R2 ,4 spd, 2 dr lark back then. TW was really the main media back then, and I am almost possitive that I found it in years past, and the PO told me where he had found it, It is some past history of the car I want to find, thanks

Well I have some bad news. I check all of the '76 issues I have an there were no '63 R2s for sale in any of them, of course I don't have ever '76 issue but thought I'd check anyway. If you need anything else checked I have just about all complete years of TWs up to now, just the '70s are kind of sketchy. I think I only have two from 1974.Chris Dresbach

Iam not sure if this young member got his 63 R-2 4 speed Daytona in 74 but I think he did and from what I can remember it was in either TW or our own chapter monthly, Chuck was a 18 year old and always drove his folks 63 wagon and 259 Daytona but wanted something for his own, just not sure what the ad said at the time, but he told his folks he was going to look at a 63 Daytona with a V-8 when he got there the lady said it was her late husbands car and she wanted $500.00 for it and it was in the garage, when Chuck saw the car he well you know almost C... in his pants because it was an R-2 4 speed Daytona 2 door hardtop white with red interior and only 48,000 miles on it it had every thing one could get on it, every see a R-2 4 speed with a tt 307? well that is what this one had for a rear end just call it long legs because it had them. the car came to a final resting place one night while drag racing with some girl in a SS396 chevy, she lost control and side swiped Chuck and his rider Kurk Dopson also a forum member here, any way the car was totaled when the center cable of the fence made a convert out of it, recliners let go when hit and both were laying down at the time, this might have been the car you are looking for if I find time I can check all 74 TW's as I have them all.Candbstudebakers
