  • Has reply to message system been altered

I used to be able to select reply and make a quick reply in a drop down box underneath the posts, now I find I get this big box same as I'm typing this in with a "title" header.

The reply now seems to have an automatic quote whereas before I could choose to quote or not.

Is this some kind of "improvement" or problem???

Also, how do you delete a thread? Was going to dump this but seems no way.

I still get the short form reply box 99% of the time. On occasion, I'll get the advanced box, but I figure it's just a glitch.

For the last two days, I've noticed that the bottom of the forum pages are not seen and I've scrolled to the bottom of my screen.

Last night I could not log in. I kept getting error messages even though I have used the same password hundreds of times before. Appears to be gremlins in the system.

I hadn't been able to log in yesterday, and the only way I could log in today was by trying to type a response to a post then the system informed me I wasn't logged in and the log in box popped up. Something is wrong.

To answer questions: Nothing has been changed, but it appears some users are experiencing some anomalies. We are looking into it.

Poltergeist's, Clark, Poltergeist's!......I keep telling you! I too, is 1 who is having issues, since yesterday, mainly my password is invalid, even after resetting to my old one and then a new one. Now how did I get to reply to this thread......I too just clicked on the reply button, to this thread, was asked to log in and used my uid and new, new password, much like Irish, and voila! Here I'm...There are a few other minor things, I have observed, which I have passed on to our resident US Marshal, of the SDC forum....

I am having the same thing. No quick reply drop box. It goes to a big box on a separate page.

I can not remember if it used to say "Quick Reply" or not but now it says "reply to thread"

OK everybody.......Clark has posted a temporary work around "sticky" at the very top of this
forum. So lets all read it 1st.....once the issue is resolved, it will be back to normal or better!

That's exactly what happened to me also. Incidentally, I just installed a new computer and the log-in box will not remember me so I have to type the info in. Any ideas here?
