Joe: You should contact Paul Johnson, who is in the process of selling Torrey Kirby's many cars, most of which are parts cars.

'Seems like there was a '58 "J" body or two among them.

You might have to buy a whole car, but NC to WV isn't exactly the other side of the world, and you could like glean a few bits and pieces before disposing of the carcass. BP

I'd also check with SI. It wasn't too many years ago that SASCO still had NOS glasses like this. SI might have some of those in stock. Don't trust their on-line catalog - CALL them and ask.

Checked Standard Surplus and they do not have one and left a reply to Paul and waiting on his replay if he has the rear window

Give Jim Bahr a call at Wisconsin Studebaker. I just sold him a real nice one last year and he still has it.

I have several spares, but I won't sell them because I may need them for my cars at some point. You could try to contact the member alphues he might have a spare he would sell.

I don't think the first one (thumbnail) will help. The second is missing the engine and probably tranny. Haven't decided to try it on eBay or just sell it for scrap price, probably around $200. Glass may be OK. Can check next time I'm there. The third one we will try on eBay as it is complete.

A BIT off-topic here, bnut I'm wondering if anyone remembers the 58 J-body fins (NOS) that ran repeatedly on ebay a few years back. Opening bid was $300 each time and no one ever bid on them. I've wondered if theyh ever did find a home.

What do the filthy rich do when they need a glass that isn't made any more? I have the same car and I was told long ago that there weren't any available except used, if you can find one.
