  • New Stance (again) Moon Shot

The moon is supposedly the closest to the Earth that it will be for another 20 some-odd years. I wanted to get a shot of the moon and a Studebaker. I got up early this morning and took this picture.

You might notice a different stance from my last post. I liked the look of it lowered in the front but the tires were rubbing slightly on tight turns. We replaced the springs with heavier units and it brought it back up. I like the more stock look too, even though it rides a little rougher.

I would have figured out a fix for the rub....other than raising it. It looks fine still for sure, gorgeous. I just prefer the lower look a bit more. Mine needs to go down a few inches.

Very cool shot with the moon and the lights on and the altered color effect. Great pic

          MUCH BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not comment when I saw what the 2 inch dropped spindles did. Thought somewhere in between would be the best "look" and it is. I am moving forward with my C-cab alteration. So I buy the fatman IFS with 2 inch dropped spindle and what springs? What size tires and wheels are you using? You do anything to the rear springs? What differential you running with the 5.3? I am considering a Camero. I have a 5.3 ..4L60E...a 6.0 4L80E.....383 stroker with 700R w/msd fuel injection......or 427 Big block with 350 trans and msd fuel injection motors here in the shop for install in this truck....which would you use? What gears you running with the 5.3?

You are helping me eliminate my learning curve.....

You ready to another C-cab and sell that one ? Just a thought.

The stance, wheels and tires still clearly say "hot rod" in a nice subtle way.

That's up to Art and Ann. I'm still pining for a front cover. I could write a story about the rebuild, Art.

I had to save a copy of that picture. Really sharp. Did you try any with only the moon light?
