    Hope everyone's okay.
It doesn't sound too bad (but then again, it's not my car).
Should be fixable...a friend is fixing one that was in worse shape.

          10/4 on that Dave.

Fiberglass doesn't seem to transfer stress like metal and bend a lot of area away from the impact point, It just shatters so door fit still looks good.

Not a pleasant experience for the old gent nor cheap for the insurance company but a good shop can get it back to him better than new.

I guess you get the dirty jobs because you are good at handling them. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do but I'll bet he's glad you're around to do it.

            Thanks, Bob.

I reckon I've been doing dirty work for so long that I'm used to it.

OUCH! But, fiberglass is pretty easy to repair, it just sucks because there is NO easy place to melt the paint in! Glad nobody was hurt, that's more important!

Glad the people are all OK. The car is fixable. As far as the paint not being blendable anywhere good, that is not true...easy to do it. But the paint looks like it is older and has lost a bit of its luster anyway, shoot the whole car and REALLY make it pop like a nice Avanti should.

                    I can't believe the hood wasn't wrecked.
I'd guess on modern metal car it would have been.

I sorry aboutthe wreck but it could have been a lot worse.

Looks like the bottom of the radiator got hit by the fan. Hope the core support and driver's side suspension aren't tweaked.

A red, R1, black interior, 1964 Avanti. I wonder if it is one of the batch of Sears Allstate cars made together in that combination.
I see that it still has it original single brake system.

Actually, I wouldn't call it red. More of a reddish brown to my eyes,

Not RED RED, but the color that the 1964 Avanti came in - Avanti Red.

My first thought too, it looks just like my old Survivor Avanti.
