  • Studebaker Gathering in Stockton

We had a great Studebaker picnic organized by Lou Van Anne. Members from 3 SDC Chapters plus an Avanti chapter were there. A fun afternoon with excellent weather and even better food, not to mention some beautiful cars.

You can see all my pictures here:

Thanks Lou, and all who came.

Looks like a great event with nice surroundings. Be careful not to park too close to a sap-spewing pine tree.

The model maker is Pete Castonguay from the Sequoia Chapter. I am proud to have one of his Studebaker Wheel Barrows on display with my other Studebaker models and die cast cars.

Great photo Pat. Sorry I missed the meet, but I'm 7 time zones away. Who has the tow truck?

Awesome showing of cars! There's a good variety there. Had I been there though, I'd have only been able to hang out at one vehicle - the "Mater" tow truck, as my toddler son is obsessed with him. A real life version would have blown his little mind

Had to stay home and cut my lawns for thte first time this year and prune my fruit trees.
But did manage to recieve my new 1926 Model T Pie Wagon and send my 47 Merc 114 coupe down the road.

That was Anne Goodman's "Gus Mater". She was handing out little wallet size photos of Gus. The kids were loving it, as always.

As always the Stockton day together with 3 chapters and the Avanti area group and good warm weather went off well and Lou as always does great, thanks Lou. Pat got a lot of nice pictures so I was glad I drove the 67, it drove the 150 mile round trip perfect except that one power window would not work and the air need to be recharged. This is like a small one day zone meet you get a chance to see cars and people you know but don't see at your own chapter meets, I am a member of the Avanti group and 2 of the chapters so do see most ,but this meet brings out cars and people that some times only can make one or two a year and then also gives new members a chance to meet the group, nice to meet you and your wife yesterday "Blaze"
