  • 49 2R 15 truck brake parts needed

It is finally time to put the 49 back together, but a whole brake assembly has managed to grow legs and leave. I need shoes and hardware. I have a partial list of part numbers :shoes #666066,#666067, arm #666094, pin #66105, starwheels #666100, 666102. I searched all vendor sites related to no avail. I do not have to have new, just need relinable shoes and usable hardware. Thanks, Steve

The correct numbers for the rear shoes are 666091 and 666089. The shoe numbers posted earlier are for the front which I would also buy. At the moment though the rears are the ones I am desperately seeking to get the truck back together and rolling again. My originals grew legs and walked out of here. I am waiting to hear back from a few people

I don't believe in "luck" per say...but in this case...good luck with that. I never found any single brake parts from the backing plate out for my 2R10 and I cant imagine it being any easier for a 15.
Sorry if that is a bummer.

I saved some from a 2 R 16 but after looking at them, I am not sure thats what they are. We can lay them out and post a picture and some measurements. These are the complete set up with all of the shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders- sold as a package.

The parts Mike is speaking of are in my bus. I'll take a look at them and get some pictures for you later today. We were hoping that they might come in handy for my StudeBus (a 2R16A) but we found that most everything under her drums was much much bigger!!!

            more here~ http://s175.photobucket.com/albums/w...eBus%20brakes/

We will be putting a 'want' list together very soon as well...

Thanks Dave, My setup looks exactly like the one in the bottom pic. I havent torn my fronts down yet but suspect they are the same as your top pic. Thanks, Steve

I ran into a little snag yesterday- and did not get to the parts pictures.
I will NOT have that problem today...

If your set up is exactly the same as mine- these parts won't work.
The shoes are 4 inches wide on the bus!!!
(yes, I know what you meant- just funnin' with ya)

I will get you some pictures today- no excuses...

Mine look like that but are only two inches wide (by 14 1/8" long). I have a set of new 4" linings that are supposed to fit the shoes of a big Studebaker. Obviously they did not fit our truck, but if will fit the bus I will be more than happy to send them your way. Many Thanks, Tracy

I finally managed to get pictures of MIke's parts. Here is a sample~

The rest can be found here~
                    http://s175.photobucket.com/albums/w...brake%20parts/

The shoes are Wagner FE 1302R and FE 1302Q.
The wheel cylinders are Wagner/Locheed FD 6163.
The bearings in the box (2 each) are Timken #387, and #395S.
As you can see- it's pretty much the whole she-bang.
We may even have drums if you need them...

                    Contact Mike for more information.
