  • 56 wiring diagram

Could someone please scan a 56 wiring diagram for me, in particular the windshield wiper switch/motor.

I figured out the rest of the switches, but there seems to be a non original switch there now, so just moving the wires to the new switch isn't going to work.

    Thanks a lot .

Here's a '57 diagram (the '56 is blurred and impossible to read).........

The switch terminals should be lettered. Green wire goes to switch terminal 'A', black wire to 'F'.

Thanks very much, that will be big a help.

Does it not matter where the other 2 wires go?

The new switch will have a circuit breaker attached (I think). Referring back to that diagram, the white/black wire supplies power to the circuit breaker. The other end of the breaker has a buss bar to a terminal on the switch, and that's where the yellow wire will attach.

Again thanks for taking the time to answer, unfortunatly, there is no fuse/circuit breaker on either the old, or new 56 switch.
Doesn't look like anything is missing from it either, so i assume it is correct without?
