  • Trying to sort out Turn signal / Marker lens on my 52 Studebaker Truck

    Hello,
I'm currently working on a 52 studebaker truck. One of the front turn signal / marker lights is cracked. I doubt they are original for the truck. I was wondering if they were actual Studebaker pieces. Here are some pics of the damaged one.

Have you tried Studebaker International? At the bottom of page 209 of the latest catalog are 3 lenses displayed, the one in the middle is round and looks identical with what you have in your photos. I'm sure if you contacted them you'd soon have new ones for your truck. Then of course the rest of the truck needs work to look as good as the lenses LOL.

Jim Lime is Office Manager and his email is jim@studebaker-intl.com he was helpful when I had a query.

I Suggest you ask him, good luck with your truck and welcome to the forum from me and all the other Aussie forum members.

Those are not original to a Stude truck as far as marker lighs/turn signals they may be Stude parts but all truck marker / TS were mounted on top of the fenders in 52 and had flat lenses. Or we're the black metal bumper mounted type that had arrow cut out.

Thank you for the responses. I figured they weren't stock for the truck. I haven't seen another stude have them. I was hoping to narrow down the possibilities. I emailed Jim so we'll see if his magic can tell me if they are studebaker.

Check out this awesome sight for de-coding Guide lenses. Re-check your numbers and click on the GM Guide Charts. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a lens for a 1953 GMC truck. That would be easy to replace if that's what you want to do.
