I e-mailed him. He said the price is 11,500. Looks like it's just a typo. He's also corrected the ad as well.

Great price, in that case, for a great car.[8D][^] He didn't tell me, however, if that was in Canadian or U.S. If it's Canadian, than it would be 10,800 or so...

I don't think this is the car that sold on e-bay.

Aw Man, I was thinking of going to Canada and buying a Studebaker for 10 cents on the dollar!

Awhile back, Henry Votel posted some classified ads to this forum, amongst which was an ad for a similar, lesser President 4-dr. I pursued that ad and while it wasn't easy, I finally got some decent photos of the car. It looked to be every bit as nice as the one Ed was selling at South Bend only these folks were asking $6500 OBO!!!
I MADE an offer and waited patiently to hear if I'd end up with the car. Finally, they DID E-mail me to say it had found a new home.[V]
289, 3spd/OD driver car with only 65K on the odo! Darn!

                        Bob,

Thanks for the tip on the car. It should be at Dick's next weekend. They bit for the extra $500 we offered them above your offer.
