    I can help you with this number. I am pretty sure it is 1557424 since none start with 55. And one of us should be able to match that to a long nose late full flow crank I am thinking a 289, but someone will have to check one to be sure.

      533439 = 224
      526832 = 232 & 259

      557424 ( No) but 537424 shows as a 289
      1556957 & 1553997 (NO) but they could be 1556997 and that shows as a 289

        Thanks Rich and Bob always good to have the help, now I can move ahead on what to do with these non 289 cranks.

          The '55 224 crank must be approaching 'rare bird' status -eh?

            Bob, I think your last two numbers are actually both 1556997, and they are late model long nose 259's.

              Yes Dwain that number is a 259 and I have 2 of them, after getting Bob Johnstone list of crank numbers I went back with good light a small wire brush and carb cleaner and doubled checked the number on the cranks I have, here is what I have
              532439---224
              526832---232 and 259
              536452---289 I have (4)
              15565997 259 I have (2)
              537424---289
              Also have a pair of long nose 289 all polished and ready to go not sure of he numbers they are wrapped up, plan on only keeping the 289's and one new 259 the others will become something else.
