THANKS again all, I have quite a bit of info on who had ,who campaigned, and who was behind it all. The car eventually came to nought after a broken sideshaft sidelined it for a while . It was then bought by someone in Rhodesia, who raced it pulling caravans (main event there)..the car then retired to under a tree, and survived a bushfire , it was spotted by a Mr Dave Le Roux, a Studebaker guru, who then bought the car and returned with it to S.A. with all good intentions of restoring it.Needless to say he sat on it for 12 years before parting with it. Since then it has been for sand-blasting and a coat of primer to see which panels need replacing..and thats as far as its got.

A 4 year old thread referred to recently , made me do a search for Dave Le Roux
and came up with an interesting site.
