I think its somewhat official; in that it appears to be an 'after hour's shot at that show without the huge crowd of people you normally see at them.

Here's another photo of that same show which also looks like it was taken before or after the hours it was open to the public. Note the HUGE amount for floor space dedicated to Studebaker that year! You'd never think there wasn't going to be a 1967 Studebaker looking at these!!

The really odd thing about the Daytona is that, particularly with a white interior, it has a black steering wheel rather than the Canadian universal white wheel.

From what I can see, all of the cars there had black steering wheels. So much for all 1966s having white steering wheels.

Perhaps they were going to offer black steering wheels with white interiors for 1967?

Where did anyone hear that 66s had white steering wheels?
The white steering wheels were a 64 Cdn car thing all 66s had black

There were gold and blue steering wheels as well, and were colored resin; not a paint finish. I have an NOS gold one here for Moby Grape.

Not all 66 steering wheels were black. Mine is a blueish to match the blue interior.

I see spinners and exposed lugnuts. I am VERY curious to know if anyone knows what wheels are on that Wagonaire. They don't show up well at all in those photos.

The spinners aren't Halibrands. Any ideas?

Is that Brooks Stevens himself standing with the Wagonaire?

Geez, that 66 is a SHARP-Lookin' Ride. Looks like it would be easy to duplicate that woodgrain on the aft roof. Love the white forward portion. Makes me wonder what Ray F. has ever done with the unfinished, '66 white-over-blue wagon I sold him.

Did the 66 have a name?

The Wagonaires were still called just that - Wagonaire

Bob, I do wonder if it had a special name affixed to it too; just as did the three special 1964 showcars, Madamoiselle, Yachtsman, and Town Sedan shown in February, 2009 TW.
