  • Last six months of 1963

Well , it appears that at this stage , the Minutes of the Meetings of
Studebaker Department Heads ( the Lamberti Reports ) for the 2nd
half of 1963 are not going to easily turn up . I'm missing my fix ! Is
there any chance that Richard Quinn ( Studebaker Wheel ) can be
persuaded to publish the Board of Director Meetings Minutes that he
has for July / August '63 onwards . They may be a bit 'dry' compared
to what has gone before but I am sure they would be interesting just
the same . And hopefully they can just be 'scanned' rather than typed .

Does it say somewhere that this post called for people other than Mr. Quinn to answer?

Ditto, Rich; that would be my observation.

Of course we'd all like to see that last six month's worth of anything associated with 1963 and Studebaker! BP

I didn't see the post as anything that I should reply to as I do not possess this material.
I would be interested in any put forth.

I believe Richard wrote initally that he only had the first 6 months of 1963. Unless the Lambretti family comes up with others then thats all we have for now. We are greatful for the family & Richard to share what valuable information they had.

The book Less Than They Promised by Lawrence Pennington would be of interest. It has some details of the last few months of 1963.

Seems to me that your putting pressure on Mr. Quinn to deliver something he cant. He has already said that is all he has.

                        clonelark ,
We do all know that there are no more Lamberti reports . These were
the Heads of Department Minutes of the Automotive Division of the Studebaker
Corporation . For there to be more of them ( second half of 1963 weekly meetings )
someone has to find them somewhere , and at this stage it appears it will not be easy .

However , the Board of Directors Meetings of the Studebaker Corporation for the
second half of 1963 do exist . Both Mr Quinn and Mr Beckman apparently have access .
It is those Minutes that a number of us would like to see the light . Some big decisions
must have been taken and it would be most interesting to understand what they were
and the context in which they were made . Hope this clarifys the issues for everyone .
