        OTOH, they can't all look that nice 50+ years after being manufactured!

        Here, Nelson Bove supervises the extraction of a 1956 Commander DeLuxe from a garage in Carmel IN where it had been stored at least 30 years:



        This was being accomplished a couple years ago. The Commander was actually being pulled onto my trailer for a trip to Nels' storage building east of Cincinnati. Nels had to buy this Commander to get the "about-the-same-condition" Flamingo, 4-speed 1961 Hawk that had been dead in the garage equally long. The property could then be sold for a deceased elderly man's estate.

        'Twas a great day for an adventure, but getting home at 2AM after a round trip to Cincy with the trailer was a bit much for this senior citizen! <GGG> BP

                I have a 56 Commander 2 door Sedanet in the barn only missing a few parts. BUT the frame is bent.
