Well, that is a very detailed rebuild on a rare carb. You can only sell it once! Or- in this case keep it forever?

I guess I need to officially sign up for the CASO club...if only I could find my application form.

No application forms, just use the back of an already used piece of paper.

That'll work, Kelly. And keep an eye and see if that carb actually SELLS for that.

Because I refuse to buy the Edelbrock #1403 Carb I would like to put on Sandi's 61 Hawk, for $359.00 + 12% tax (total $402.00). When I have 3 new in the box #1406 in stock??Good Roads

These old Carter AFB's (and WCFB's too) are from the Golden Age of carb building. If you think about it, these old carbs were mechanical attempts to do what electronic fuel injection and computers and sensors are doing today. And they didn't do a bad job for their times. The metering rods in these Carter carbs were different for each and every application, and sometimes a metering rod from one application would differ from a rod for another application by only a couple of ten-thousandths of an inch. Yes, I said ten-thousandths!

But I would never pay that kind of money for one!!
