          My guess - this looks to be similar to the employee badges that Studebaker used - i would assume they had others that were for specific departments, and this is one for the research department - new models / prototype engineering / etc.

          Just think - the stories it could tell - if it could talk!

              I like that if you look at the bottom of the page there are other badges and Chevy money clips and stuff that are like $10, but the Stude on the $233+ and still not at reserve. Good news if you have Stude memorbilia, bad for those of us that want memorbilia but dont have any....

                            I wouldn't be surprised if an off-line deal is made on the badge by one of the bidders. That's not too uncommon on Ebay for items that don't meet reserve.
