After ceasing automotive production Studebaker was merged with Worthington Corp. to form Studebaker-Worthington Corp. In 1979 Studebaker-Worthington was acquired by McGraw-Edison in 1985 Cooper Industries acquired McGraw-Edison.
Today I purchased a GFCI (Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter) switch at Lowe's Home Improvement to replace one near our master bedroom sink that had gone bad. The GFCI switch was made by Cooper Industries, so the way I figure it I just bought an electrical item with Studebaker heritage.
