I'd forgotten to close the rear vent windows and when the President was at the critical transition thru the sound barrier, the shock wave caused a pressure differential that broke the instrument glasses![:0]
BTW, for any of you that are guessing, I did this with overinflated bias ply tires. Radial's grippiness proved to be a hindrance after Mach .5
