  • Sorry for being a stranger

I've been off the Forum for about a year, primarily because at first I was having difficulty getting re-logged when the changes were made to the Forum. Then we sold our home in Burlington Ontario and downsized to a condo apartment in Dundas Ontario. Dundas is actually part of Hamilton. In short, I finally figured everything out and I'm back. I missed you all.

To Dave Warren...yes I drive a 1964 Daytona convertible. If you go to the thread regarding the 33 President posted in the last couple of days you'll see my 64 beside the 33 in the picture taken by Bob Barrick.

                    Welcome back, Stu!

And...never apologize for being a "stranger" to fellow Studebaker fans! After all...you (like the rest of us) have a Studebaker Personality! ....and what can be "stranger" than that?

Nice ride, Stu. A gentleman with the last name of Gow keeps finding me at local meets. Saturday he pulled up beside me with his 64 Daytona Convertible and it was a hit at the cruise-in. I gave him an old S.I. Catalogue I had in my trunk. Then he showed me pictures of a bullet nose he just sold for $18,000! That Daytona was a really nice driver and it sure drew a crowd.

Not Stu, but yes he was, from 1984 to 1986. It seemed longer than that, but the records only show two years. He was Director for the "old" Canada Zone from 1982 to 1984. That is probably why it seems longer to me. I was a Director (Northeast Zone) when Stu was SDC President and worked on many projects/committees then so we had a lot of interface. This was in the days of typed letters, not Internet.

Welcome back Stu and hello to Thelma. I last saw the two of you at last year's Northeast Zone Meet. Will you be at this year's event in September?
