    Alan,

You can always drop in at my shed in Holland. You're most welcome although you might have to use your fantasy when measuring. This is the way it looked when I left this evening.

You have to remember where he lives is below sea level, hence the body lift....

          Alan,

I try to document the disassembly of my car as well as possible for reference when I try to assemble it again later. You never know in advance which shot you'll need. I've got some pics for you.
On pic 1 you see the area with the right fender still in place but the airfilter removed. The airfilter sits right on to op the carburettor
On pic 2 the fender is removed and the approx location of the airfilter indicated. I have also indicated the location of th forward bolt of the body to the chassis.
On pic 3 the climatizer fan is removed and it goves an impresseion how close the engine is to the firewall.
On pic 4 you can see the gap. From memory I would estimate this not to be more than 1 to 1.5 inch.
On pic 5 you have a reasonable view from the front with the fender, the fan and the filter removed.

More pics in the next message

            The last two pics:

Pic 6 shows you the forward body to frame bolt again and the area you have there.
On pic 7 the body is removed and you can see the bolt hole.

Next week when I am at my shed I'll see if I can do some measurements.

            Good luck.

            Kees

PS, TDITS, As long as the dikes hold the local aquafer will be just below my floor.
