Yes, I would like to see photos of Murray Motor Co. I take it that Kompressor means supercharger? I see it written on the back of some Mercedes.

Your English seems as good as any of ours.

Kompressor is German for Supercharger Leonard.

                  Jan,
there were loads of Studebakers delivered new into Sweden and plenty of Golden Hawks with Compressrs, but probably no Zip vans.

You can drive a zip van all year round. They are right hand drive so you can step out driectly onto the kerb without getting slushed. You can either sit down or stand up fully and drive one, so if you pass the Swedish Royal family you can easily stand in respect and keep driving. That is a real neat trick.

There are plenty of zip vans in the States. Most people who own them seem to use them as sheds in their back yards for so peculiar reason.

A US mail zip van in Sweden would be cool stuff

Indeed, a Zip-Van to the US is like a Volvo 264TE to a Swede! Both were a government contract vehicle never sold to the public and never seen outside its home country. (at least when new) Therefore, I can see why he would never see one unless on vacation in the US.

Zip Vans all had Twin Traction (limited slip differential) and a lot of ground clearance. They were designed to go all year round in any part of the USA.
