  • San Fran Studes - who were they?

My daughter Erin and hubby Marcus went on a mini-vacation to San Francisco, then Los Angeles recently, arriving first in S.F. Thursday, April 14th. The next day they were site-seeing when Erin saw two Studebakers (she knows a Stude when she sees one - comes from YEARS of club meet attendence from birth) parked together.

One was a dark over light blue Commander (a C or a K - I couldn't see properly from the pix) and a light green '63 Cruiser with front fender spears ('53/'54?) installed.

The gentleman owning the '63 was nearby and talked to them. Erin and Marcus said that he was a "cool dude" and that they enjoyed the Studebaker repartee. They were quite excited that this happened.

It certainly was a great coincidence that one of the first things that my daughter sees visiting a city that's a 5 1/2 hour flight from home is a couple of Studebakers. Does anyone here know whose cars these were? A "tip of the hat" from me in thanks to the Cruiser owner for being a friendly, and cool Stude dude!
