Looks good to me. But maybe the builder got done with all that work and realized it didn't make anywhere near the radical visual impact he thought it would and got discouraged...

We can only guess on why the project ground to a halt. Problems with health, family, money, time, etc, etc. etc. I've been working on my Champ cab project since sometime in the late 1990s and finding time to work on it is hard. Perhaps life made other plans.
It's in my neck of the woods but I have too many other things to do.

In my opinion, You're looking at this wrong, guys.
At that low price, I see two front fenders, two rear quarters, and one unchanged door, plus whatever else might be usable to resurrect another C/K.
