  • Speaking of other make roofs...

There are some interesting thoughts going in the "Rivibaker" thread. Then I was doing an ebay search and look what popped up...

Somebody really put some work into this. Wonder why they stopped?

Looks like the "Fun" ran out before the project was finished. Another example of why it is important to have a good plan and the resources to complete it.

I remember a C/K that had the rear tri-window from a '57 Olds installed, but I can't find it on the 'net.

      Looked good!

And another one bites the dust. The builder will have trouble finding someone else as excited about his vision as he was at the start. I suppose it is no worse than the stock versions sitting under a tree waiting for the restoration that never comes.

Interesting, anyway - I don't find it ugly.

Looks good to me. But maybe the builder got done with all that work and realized it didn't make anywhere near the radical visual impact he thought it would and got discouraged...

Still would be nice, but to me not enough change for the work involved.

Unlike a lot of these, it doesn't look awful, but not an improvement.

We can only guess on why the project ground to a halt. Problems with health, family, money, time, etc, etc. etc. I've been working on my Champ cab project since sometime in the late 1990s and finding time to work on it is hard. Perhaps life made other plans.

It's in my neck of the woods but I have too many other things to do.

In my opinion, You're looking at this wrong, guys.

At that low price, I see two front fenders, two rear quarters, and one unchanged door, plus whatever else might be usable to resurrect another C/K.

                  A real steal!
