  • Found some interesting (artsy) photos

I say 'artsy' in the title because I thought that the photos were somehow a bit Gotham City-esque. The the photographer apparently makes no appologies for making his scenes look and feel staged. I like the photos, I like the car. The composition is interesting, although the angles and the subject make me feel a bit voyueristic.

All in all, I thought others might enjoy seeing them, but I don't think I'll rush to make a purchase of my own.

Let me know what you think...

I think Mr. Biggs must have loaned his wagon for a photo shoot .

BTW, that's the TransAmerica Pyramid in San Francisco in the background.

The artist is Russian. His Bio says that he does extensive research before planning a shoot. It went on to explain that he was comissioned by some sort of Art Deco Society in Los Angeles.

Notice the surf boards on top of the car. I don't really place Studebaker in the middle of the West Coast surfing scene, but hey, the artist does "extensive research"...

I dunno 'bout that. Here's Mr. Biggs loaded up and headed for the nearest point break. I could hear him yelling "South swell, dude", as that Provincial roared out of sight.

That's Anita's wagon!!! I can tell from the lack of windshield chrome. It the photo was in color, it would be a dead giveaway

Nice photo work, nice composition. It works for me. The car and models are well placed.
When taking photos, we should always try to have the photo tell a story to the viewer. In this case, the photographer succeeded.
The car looks terrific and makes the photo a period piece.
OK, I'll get off my soap box now.

It's anachronistic and, at the same time, Bergmanesque.

                            Successful? Yes.

                            For my walls? No.
