    Now, Rich,
You're starting to sound like one of those folks who thinks Studebakers should be driven in any kind of weather and not just relegated to beautiful summer afternoons.
If yall will excuse me I gotta take the Lark on a coffee run. The Cooper Discover HT's should do great in the snow we go yesterday and I wish I still had my blower like last year, because the single digit temps at the moment make that car do some unworldly wonderful things.

Uhhh, Brad-- that would be because he DOES DRIVE a Stude year 'round~ as do I.

The only difference is-- the one he's driving now is a 'loaner', and mine is actually mine.
More then one ride is waiting in the wings to become daily drivers...

You stilll can, just lose the heat riser and add a electric choke. Under $15.00 and it'll run better too.

That only works in the lowlands of Calif. and in Florida in the Summer, does NOT work for most of us, not having proper Automatic Choke action.

The last I heard S.I. no longer has the replacement 536171 '55-'64 V-8 heat riser. They said they are reproducing one and it's still in the works.

So that means it is limited to any the other Studebaker Vendors may have left in stock.

I noticed the ones the Cadillac Vendors sell, have doubled in price, around $130.00, so not an option for me.

They are available from most vendors.
I am wondering about using one off year(67 Caddy) parts that are probably more rare than the original .
This goes for cross references to other obscure sources of parts.
sure, it's nice to maybe have another source for a part, but if the replacement is harder to find than the original, it doesn't make much sense to me.
(I'm not picking on you Alan, It has always been a peeve and confusing to me)
