  • Bendix 6V+Positive Ground Electric Fuel Pump - New Old Stock - one only!

    Greetings, SDCers,

Here's the last one I think we'll ever see. This is a NOS Bendix 6V Positive Ground Electric Fuel Pump. It's the perfect unit for a fuel system update for 6V Studes, but staying period correct. Yours for $50 shipped anywhere in the USA - PayPal, cashier's check or USPS Money Order.

What a great thing to have on a road tour. Help me out, here, Jack. Would this be installed back at the tank, up front on an inner fender or close to the original by the fuel filter? Does it require a separate regulator? I'm definitely interested! DW

Pumps are more efficient when pushing. The closer to the tank, the better. It does not require a relay, but most recommend wiring an electric fuel pump through an oil pressure safety switch. This will disconnect if the oil pressure drops below 5#, as it would if there were an accident and the engine stopped.

FWIW, I've wired electric fuel pumps with an additional "momentary on" switch so the electric pump would pressurize the carb prior to engaging the starter. This insures a quick start. Releasing the momentary on switch then puts the oil pressure safety switch in charge.
