    I just found them difficult to work on. I wasn't real fond of any Renaults. The Caravelle was cute, but just a Dauphine in a party dress. In the U.S. we got Simca Aronde and the rear engined 1000 models, they were okay. I really liked the Peugeot 403 and 404.

      Here's an interesting Dealer ID Plate from my 54 Champion. Stuck right above the trunk handle. It's aluminum, not sure how to restore it, but it'll go back on the old girl at the proper time....Click image for larger version

        I have an Aronde (1951) and a 1000 (1962). You also got the Simca 1204 (Remember Peggy, the secretary in Mannix. I'm fond of old US movies and series. Once in awhile, I spot french cars in them.) called 1100 in its birthplace. 403 and 404 were extremely reliable. Many friends still enjoy them.
