  • Stude Vendors

I'm only fairly new to studes and "old cars" in general, There are quite a few little odds and end I need and was just wondering if www.studebakerparts.com was still operational ?
    I've sent them a couple of e-mails but haven't had a response.

What other vendors would people recommend ?

Can't answer your specific question, but there are plenty of sources for Stude parts.

There are many other useful links on the SDC home page.

      StudebakerParts.com

      Michael:
Yes, they (Chuck and Chris) are operational and very nice people to deal with. Check out their website www.studebakerparts.com and call them if your emails are not getting answered.

Are you a member of the club and do you get Turning Wheels - lots of vendors advertise there and most have a "specialty". You should be able to get pretty much anything you need. My dad is a vendor as well, Jon Myer of Myer's Studebaker Parts in Duncan Falls, Ohio. What kind of Stude do you have an what are you looking for? My dad can be reached at 740/674-4897 or spookys@1st.net

No I'm not a member/don't get turning wheels although plan on doing something about that very soon. I'm in Australia, and vendors with their stock listed online make it easier for me to order, ie not having to make OS phone calls in the middle of the night. Whilst I don't overly object to making mid night phone calls- studebakerparts.com has what I want, but I'm not about to place an order if they don't reply to an e-mail. Although having said that I might have problems with my e-mail account, it wouldn't be the first time.
I'm after a few little things, like scipt, decals, gaskets, a few rubber bits, rebuild kits etc. for a 58 Golden Hawk

Hello Michael, since you're also in Australia, how about trying an Aussie vendor, namely Chris Skinner of Studebaker Queensland http://www.studeparts.com.au/ and see if he can help you? Pay in a good (smile) currency and shipping would be quick.

Michael - There are lots of wonderful Stude people down in Australia! Congratulations on your purchase and you definitely want to join the club when you can, lots of great people who are ready and willing to help with any projects and questions you may have. It's a great resource. Good Luck with getting your Golden Hawk together and post pictures when you can!
