  • 65 and later serial numbers

Does anyone have handy the starting serial number for the 65 and 66 models produced in Canada? From my copy of the CD for the 59-64 Body parts catalog I found that Canadian production of 64's started with C500,000. What number did 65 and 66 start with??.

I was fooled a couple of years ago when a car was advertised as a 65 model based on a C5XX,XXX serial number but it turned out to be a 64 Daytona 4 dr. confirmed with a 64 body tag. Don't want to be fooled again but have seen several that don't include the year on the body tag, just something lilke V-Y9 6XXX and can't tell from the serial number if it's a 64 or 65. Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks.
I know the engines SHOULD be different 64 to 65 but with some of the swaps I've seen I don't want to count on that. The serial numbers give me a better indication. Thanks for the numbers.

        Don't forget that 6 cylinder cars in '66 began "C130001" & '65's were C110001 (C53XXXX & C51XXXX numbers are for V8's).
