  • It's a sickness!

Well today I just completed a deal on a 1921 Studebaker Light Six Touring. I found it on Craigs List a "few" weeks ago. I made a few inquires and I closed the deal today. I've kept it pretty quiet, although a few people have know.
i even spoke to Richard Quinn on this one, and he was not even aware of it! AND it's almost in his back yard!

I plan on picking it up the weekend of August 21st in the "Chicago" area, then a trip up to my ole' stomping grounds in Rockford.
Here's a link to a couple of photos.

Good deal Jim! Glad you were able to get it.

So, when can we expect disc brakes for the early 20's Studebakers?

Looks like it will require more than a dual master install. Are there boxes of parts to go with it?
Projects of this magnitude are behind me.

You know, you could probably pick this one up for less than 13K.

I was actually thinking: a blown 289, 200R, 4 wheel disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, but--- those wooden wheels would have to go! LOL It appears very solid, and almost complete! So, looks like it will stay a six banger!

Very nice, Jim. I'm glad you finally pulled it off. Not sure where you get the energy for more of such projects as that, but my wish is for you to find the time to finish it, too! Very cool car.

Good going Jim. Now, when will it be ready to drive down to NC for a Tri State meet?

Congrats, Jim. I know if you're like the rest of us, you'll have plenty of time to work on this between 12 midnight and 6AM!! Have fun.
