'55 C/K two tone combos.

My early '55 Commander Regal C body was an original two tone car with a Cascade Green lower body. Everything I have found says the top would have been Sheridan Green but where the nasty 50+ year old metalic green repaint has peeled on the roof I can only find white paint, no signs of green anywhere and the white looks factory. Also the bottom of the floor pans where the undercoating has peeled away is a nice clean glossy white. I believe my car was originally white over Cascade Green. Is that possible?

I already checked the tag under the glove box, I can make out "aker" and "lor" and that's it, the rest is gone.

Well Studebaker high lead, baked Enamel does not peal, and metallics were not used except Speedster, so we know the roof was a cheap re-paint maybe even Lacquer, which does not work over Enamel.
So I think you are completely correct, it was off White and Green, stark whites were not used by pretty much anyone until about 1964 GM Blue-White, but off-whites were very common starting in 1956.

Why not get the Production Order from the Studebaker National Museum and find out?

Here is a color chart showing Shasta White, but I can't find it in a two-tone combo on this brand of Paint, Studebaker used several brands.

How 'early' is early? Shasta White was a Spring color and I believe was offered with Cascade Green. Of course, your production order will state the colors it came in.

My 1955 Studebaker Perpectives in Value (a large salesman's book with body colours, upholstery swatches, some neat working pullouts and some competitor comparisons) lists these two colour combinations:
P-2591-C Lower Cascade Green, Upper Sheridan Green
P-2589-C Lower Saginaw Green, Upper Sonora Beige
Cascade is very light, Saginaw is middle, and Sheridan is dark green.

My 1955 Commander (late production) is P2591-C. There is a picture in the SDC album and in my avatar.
I would choose whichever colour combination you like. I don't think that different colours would make any difference to price, and besides, you may want to keep it.

Yes.

I'm more curious than anything, the car will probably never be restored to "original" as long as I own it, I'm too much of a "hotrodder" and I plan to own it a VERY, VERY long time. It will be more of a late 50's / early 60's style mild custom. If it did originally have a white top though I have to believe that was a fairly rare combo and I would probably be more inclined to return it to it's factory colors even if the car has been lightly modified. Don't ask me why, I don't have a logical reason, it's just one of those "things".

No matter what the color as long as it's what you like,
It sounds like fun, I like the idea of a mild/rad custom that has all the factory bells and whistles.
but thats just coming from another soon to be hot rodder with a 52 two door hard top fitted with a 50 bullet and mine will be as 50 as I can make it.
