I agree with all that's been said. We want/need to be able to post pics. Keeping them to about 4 x 5 or less at 72 dpi helps. Not repeating the pics in replies REALLY saves. Using a small 10K photo in your signature helps, too. And, if your sig photo is a "GIF" versus "Jpeg" that often results in a smaller file size.

Gotta say, I APPRECIATE that y'all want to help make the forum experience a good one for EVERY visitor who comes here.

Good point Dick. Let me rephrase: I skip over it unless I'm SURE there's something to be learned or I MIGHT have something to contribute.

I'm on dialup as well. I can deal with working with link and picture posts. However, if they get to be picture heavy posts, in the case of whole albums being put up in a post, I usually end up reading half of the thread as its taking just too long too load. Nothing toward those fine folk, just the curse of dialup.
I love broadband, had it in the dorms at college. But, I've graduated and moved back home, where it seems to be and always will be dialup. Comcast has taken the position that we're too far out and of course won't put up for fiber optic like they did in Wyoming. This being despite the new subdivisions taking root all over this rural area, and most of these new people wont stand for just dialup. So I have no choice, either dialup or wireless or using a paper and pencil . To those that find it funny using dialup, that it is outdated, shouldn't be on it, so on and so forth, I say "Wanna spend the money and effort to roll some fiber optic either through the phone box or past the house, then by all means." Til then patience is a virtue or a workaround must be done .
