Bullets - Interchangeable?

Mbstude's picture (great shot, Matt) makes me ask ...

are the nose bullets on 50 and 51 Studes interchangeable?

I prefer the look of the 50, but learned here some think the 51 is better mechanically. Just dreamin' today!

Not interchangeable.

Fact is, there's LITTLE interchangeable between 50 & 51 outwardly or under the skin. 50 CHAMPION HL bezels fit 51 Champion OR Commander. That about sums it up.[:0]

Dwain - somebody - will a 50 Champion hood fit on a '51? I mean, I know there's different trim holes and such, but I've never tried to fit one to the other. I'd like to be able to define that tidbit when someone asks me.

I would have said no, but in fact the hoods do appear to be somewhat interchangeable. If you look up part # 289504 (1950 Champion 9G) in a price book, it says 'Use 292530' (1951 Champion 10G and Commander H). Of course we know the [u]1950</u> Commander body parts are unique to that model only.
