I hope some one out there can tell me where I can buy a door striker plate for the right door on a '56 Power Hawk. I dont want to loose the wife on a fast turn. [:0] I dont see them in any S.I. listing. HELP [8]

SI lists them. Page 67 item 1314902...$35 (most other vendors have them also). Are you sure it's the striker plate. The right side didn't get much use and wasn't prone to wear out. What are the symptoms that lead you to believe the striker plate has a problem.

John, I have some NOS strikers; a couple different styles. If you send me a pic, I'll compare and see if I've got one this afternoon- would be cheaper than the Usual Suspects!

Just call around to some vendors; the right side is the EASY one to find. they are still available NOS. I think the left side has been reproduced now, but as of a couple years ago you had to really search for them.
