The first known written example of the phrase "God Bless America" was in a letter written by Clement and Peter Studebaker on October 16, 1737 and sent to family in Germany.

Whether our activities this weekend are family gatherings or car shows, please take the time to thank a vet for our freedoms.
And, if you are a veteran or active, Thank you and God Bless you and your family.

Having had family in wars from 1812 to Korea I whole heartedly agree! Luckily enough I'll be at La Palma too enjoying Studes and thinking about Family[8D]

I will have one of my cars in an AACA show on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Military Museum in front of the 28th Division Shrine in Boalsburg, Pa, one of the three towns in the U.S. that claims to be the birthplace of Memorial Day.
Needless to say, it's a good gig, at an outstanding place and auspicious time in the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! At a price.

Freedom is not free. Thank you, again.

I also would like to add my thanks for those who help keep our country free. I served my time in a very different era and we thought it was rough then but I don't know when there have been so many threats to our freedom as today.

Here's to those that have sacraficed so that we can liesurely play Studebakers. Those that lived, those that died and those who's lives have been shattered because a loved one was lost or maimed while serving in the military.[V]

Our North Star Chapter (MN) is proud to hold a car show on Memorial Day. This year it's our 32nd annual show and we are always excited and humbled to be able to honor those who have paid the ultimate price and all veterans in past and present service to our country.
